Gospel Transformation

Birthed in 2002 by New Hope Uganda “founding fathers” Jay Dangers and Jonnes Bakimi, I4GT (originally named, the New Hope Institute for Childcare and Family or NHICF) was established to better equip men and women for service among the fatherless in Uganda and around the world.

Keith McFarland, the principal of I4GT since 2004 and co-author of ‘In Pursuit of Orphan Excellence,’ has labored to see the efforts of I4GT grow not only in the depth and heart of course material, but also in its breadth.

In 2009 as part of this new growth of I4GT, Keith and Paul Kusubira (a son of NHU and much loved local pastor) teamed up to begin our Pastors Training Institute (PTI) to aid in training of local Ugandan pastors and church leaders among the villages.

Today, I4GT has sent out over 450 students from 13 different nations through its Ministry Preparation and Orphan Care Course and continues to serve the local church through training pastors from around Uganda in its Pastoral and Church Leadership course.
