New Hope Uganda is seeking committed men and women who are in relationship with Jesus Christ to join our team in bringing the Fatherhood of God to the fatherless. All of us, in some way, are playing the role of parent to the fatherless, so we ask that applicants catch our vision in all roles that we are serving.

Ugandan staff will be paid a salary. Foreign staff will raise financial support.

Open Positions

Construction Manager
Reports to the Head of Construction, and is directly responsible for construction and maintenance at one campus. Applicant needs to:

  • Be Highly flexible and adaptable in order to respond effectively to constantly changing needs in maintenance and construction.
  • Be capable of leading a small team with minimal budget to meet the infrastructure needs of the ministry.
  • Have a thorough understanding of electrical, plumbing, roofing, concrete, masonry, and carpentry skill sets.
  • Be skilled in managing contractors, serving as a foreman or general contractor on construction projects.
  • Have a general understanding of accounting principles and be able to make and manage a budget.
  • Have a learner’s attitude and able to ask good questions in order to understand and improve existing systems.

Facility Maintenance
Reports to the Construction Manager at a specific campus, and is responsible for the maintenance of existing infrastructure. Applicant needs to:

  • Be highly flexible and adaptable in order to respond effectively to constantly changing needs in maintenance.
  • Have a jack-of-all-trades skill set, able to problem solve, repair and maintain any aspect of basic infrastructure.
  • Have a learner’s attitude and able to ask good questions in order to understand and improve existing systems.

Science Teacher
Reports to Manager of Kasana Children’s Center, and is directly responsible for construction and maintenance at one campus. Applicant needs to:

  • Be Highly flexible and adaptable in order to respond effectively to constantly changing needs in education.
  • Be capable of leading classrooms of varying ages in their studies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of science concepts and teaching strategies.
  • Be a certified teacher and receive approval from the Ugandan Education department.
  • Have a learner’s attitude and able to ask good questions in order to understand and improve existing systems.
