New Hope Uganda is seeking committed men and women who are in relationship with Jesus Christ to join our team in bringing the Fatherhood of God to the fatherless. Each applicant should be in full agreement with our statement of faith and come with an attitude of humility. All of us, in some way, are playing the role of parent to the fatherless, so we ask that applicants catch our vision in all roles that we are serving.

Ugandan staff will be paid a salary. Foreign staff will raise financial support.

Missionary (western) Openings

Sponsorship Coordinator
New Hope Uganda is looking for a western missionary to come alongside our Ugandan staff in the sponsorship office.  Job responsibilities include:

  • Assist with letter writing with the children and Ugandan missionaries.
  • Communicate with sponsors about their sponsorship.
  • Assist with the sponsorship database.
  • Read incoming letters from sponsors.
  • Assist in taking pictures of the children.
  • Assist with updating and creating profiles.
  • Coordinate sponsorship promotion with our international offices (U.S., Canada, U.K.)

Clinical Officer

New Hope Uganda is looking for a committed, born-again Ugandan with a heart to serve the Lord and people to work as a Clinical Officer.  They must have a diploma and two years working experience.  They will be responsible to oversee all operations at our clinic and ensure that the clinic’s registration is kept up do date.

Secondary Teachers

New Hope Academy is looking for committed, born-again teachers with a heart to invest in our children.  Minimum qualifications are a diploma.  Applicants should be registered with the Ministry of Education or in the process of doing so.  Foreigners who may be interested in applying should have a Bachelor’s degree and be willing to commit for 2.5 to 3 years.  All positions are full-time.

Needed subjects are:

  1. Chemistry/Biology – 2 teachers needed
  2. History/CRE – 1 teacher needed

 

Lab Attendant

New Hope Academy is looking for a committed born-again Ugandan lab attendant with a heart to serve the Lord and people.  The Lab Attendant should be able to keep the lab clean and safe for students and must be willing to serve the teachers in preparing  the lab for practical lessons and

exams.  Minimum qualification is a certificate or a diploma as a lab attendant.

Remedial Teacher

Essuubi Eppya Vocational Primary School is looking for a committed born-again teacher who can work cross-culturally to support students in our school who are struggling.  The ideal applicant will be a qualified primary teacher who has some experience and a heart to help students who are facing difficulties.  People from outside of Uganda who have experience in this year are encouraged to apply.

Primary School Teachers

Essuubi Eppya Vocational Primary School is looking for a committed born-again Uganda teachers to teach our children in 2017.  The ideal candidate should have the minimum of a grade 3 certificate in teaching and be open to learning how to integrate the Bible into all lessons.  The following positions are open:

  1. 3 teacher
  2. 7 math teacher
  3. Deputy head teacher (two to three years experience in school administration needed for this position).
  4. Roving teachers (3 needed, one each for lower, middle and upper primary).

 

Head of Human Resources

New Hope Uganda is looking for a committed, born-again Uganda with excellent people skills to work as the head of our human resources department.  The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in human resources and three years experience in a managerial role.  They should be a self-starter, a good listener, and able to be attention to detail.
