Enterprise Farming

Enterprise farming provides healthy fresh food for the children of New Hope, plays an important role in their worldview development, and helps offset some of the costs involved in childcare.

Through enterprise farming, the children are exposed to agricultural training, work ethic development, and an understanding of Biblical self-sustainability.

Enterprise farming is conducted within every family group farm as well as at dedicated farms. Currently, we are growing maize, soybeans, cassava, sweet potatoes, fruit trees, coffee, and vegetables. We also have a piggery, dairy cows and several pair of oxen that are used for plowing. Our goal is to use methods that are sustainable and can be replicated in the community.
