Child Sponsorship
Individual child sponsorship provides you with opportunity to participate directly in impacting a child’s life and the spread of God’s Kingdom across Uganda.
When you decide to sponsor a child through New Hope Uganda, you sponsor the whole child. The money you donate takes care of your child’s discipleship, food, education, and medical needs. We aim to care for the whole child and see that all their needs are taken care of on a daily basis. And yet, not all situations are the same. A one size fits all model doesn’t consider the unique situations for each of our children. Our team of childcare extension workers spend most of their time in the surrounding villages getting to know the situations our children face. This approach to each child in the program addresses their greatest needs.
At NHU, our entire program is based on Psalm 68:5-6, where God sets the lonely in family, thus we are all about family. When a child enters the NHU program, they enter a family. The same goes for sponsors. When you become a sponsor of an NHU child, you join the family.
Some of our children face especially dangerous situations in the villages they come from thus they require additional care, and at times, they need to be placed on site where they are housed in one of our 7 family groups. Each family group is designed and intended to replicate a real family with parents, siblings, and a regular cycle of daily life. They are taught the value of work and what it means to work together as a family to accomplish goals.
