New Hope Academy Spelling Bee

Tyranny, obstinate, affects, metabolism, questionnaire, characteristic, these were just a few of the words that you could have heard spelled at the annual New Hope Academy Spelling Bee that took place on October 4th. This year to help everyone relax our first round of the spelling bee was non-elimination. In the second round students who missed a word went to join the audience. Spelling continued until we got down to five remaining students. At that point all the students got very nervous and everyone missed the next word but eventually we got down to our top speller at New Hope Academy, Edward who is in S.3. The students who won all received a dictionary as a prize.
