Medical Clinic
Original Clinic structure: In memory of Zziwa Willam
Expanded Clinic: In memory of Brandon Leivestad
New Hope’s Medical Clinic serves the New Hope children and staff. It is staffed by several nurses and occasionally by volunteer physicians from various parts of the world. The care is delivered free or for a nominal fee to those who are able to pay.
The Clinic has recently been significantly expanded and renovated. The Clinic will be dedicated on Feb. 8, 2011. New Hope plans to offer basic dental and eye care in the renovated building. In addition, the Clinic will now be able to provide good work space for visiting physicians.
New Hope continues to be blessed to work alongside Kiwoko Hospital, located just 3 kilometers away. Even with the Clinic expansion, we will continue to send those in need of hospital care or with more life threatening illness to Kiwoko Hospital.
New Hope Clinic nurses do a great job treating our staff, children but also work at preventative care and reaching out to the community. Head nurse Baguma Roget has recently completed a malaria prevention education program in the local community and within the Kasana Children’s Center. In addition, mosquito nets have been provided for New Hope children.
