With the few days left for our senior four students to begin the National Examinations (14th Oct), everyone is trying to do the final touches in a bid to prepare for the examinations. The photo shown here is that of the teacher and the candidates conducting practical lessons in chemistry in the laboratory. The National Examination is done once every year normally in the months of October and November.
This Examination is done at the end of four years of a child’s study at Ordinary Level of secondary education. It is important for every student to sit this examination because it is what determines whether a child is to join Advanced Level of secondary education (senior five and six) or join a certificate course or repeat senior four.
It is however very painful for both the children and parents in case a child fails to pass these exams because at the end of the four years, one will have spent both money and time for all that period. It is upon this background that I call for everyone’s prayer for our children to perform well for God’s own glory and for God’s wisdom upon the teachers who are laboring to prepare the children these exams.
