On the shores of Lake Victoria, Musana Camps continues to grow and develop! Over the past year, workers have been constructing the new cabins paid for with money raised during the Cabin for Kids bike ride last summer.
Four cabins have been completed and are furnished and operational. One toilet/shower house is also finished and in use!
These cabins have already added 48 beds to the camp’s capacity, bringing the sleeping accommodations available to 72 beds, not including the smaller tents. The cabins have already been used more than 10 times, and many more groups are contacting the staff to book camps at Musana!
Visitors have appreciated the new cabins, especially for their great view! All cabins are designed overlooking Lake Victoria, which always excites campers and shows the magnificence and splendor of God’s glory when they come around for camping.
The new cabins have contributed to the general look and feel of the camp. It is feeling more and more complete every day, which is a tremendous change from the empty piece of land that the staff started with eight years ago.
The cabins and other structures built, as well as the landscaping, are all designed to complement the natural scenery of the camp’s location with its geographical variety from sandy beaches to natural forests and a waterfall.
Four more cabins and another toilet/shower house are still under construction, using the money already received.
There are plans for two additional cabins as well, but $30,000 more is needed before those final cabins could be built.
Thank you so much to everyone who helped support this project by donating to the Cabins for Kids fundraiser last year!
Your investment is enabling the Musana Camps staff to reach many more people with the life-transforming power of God’s truth.
